It’s been a while…

Hey there,

It’s been a while since we’ve blogged. …A long while.  With the wedding coming up in 4 months, life is a bit hectic these days.

Since our last post, we have both joined a Crossfit gym, Alchemy Crossfit in Hamilton to be exact!

So what the heck is Crossfit?  It’s basically the sport of fitness. But let’s consult Wikipedia for a more in depth explaination: …”CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program with the aim of improving, among other things, muscular strength, cardio-respiratory endurance, and flexibility. It advocates a perpetually changing mix of aerobic exercise, gymnastics (body weight exercises), and Olympic weight lifting.CrossFit Inc. describes its strength and conditioning program as “constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity across broad modal and time domains,” with the stated goal of improving fitness, which it defines as “work capacity across broad time and modal domains.” 1

We are both enjoying Crossfit six days a week now, and have enjoyed the lifestyle change and have made awesome new friends who are also passionate about fitness, health and having fun. We’ve recently signed up for the Crossfit Open and are looking forward to completing the competition.
